Terra Charge, a leading EV charging infrastructure developer and Charging Point Operator (CPO), has launched a new public EV charging hub at Village Morta, along the Delhi-Meerut Highway, Pillar No. 682, in Ghaziabad. The facility, which features 70 slow chargers of 3.3 kW and one DC fast charger of 60 kW with CCS Type 2 technology, is the first of its kind in the area. The hub is now operational, catering to both public and commercial EV fleets.
This Rs. 5 crore project is part of Terra Charge’s effort to expand its charging infrastructure across India, offering accessible Japanese technology to EV users. The station can support up to 72 EVs simultaneously and is compatible with major EV categories, including two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and four-wheelers.
Akihiro Ueda, CEO of Terra Charge, emphasized the significance of the hub, stating, “This is one of the largest public EV charging stations in India, and we’ve designed it to enhance user experience with 24/7 customer support and gated safety features.”
With this new hub, Terra Charge now operates 50 live charging stations and over 400 charging points across India. The company is also exploring strategic partnerships to further support India’s rapidly growing EV market, which is projected to reach $48.6 billion by 2030.
