Kia, a prominent premium carmaker, has introduced its innovative 2.0 transformation strategy aimed at redefining the Indian automobile ecosystem. This strategy emphasizes enhancing vehicle design and technology, positioning Kia as a pioneer in the Indian automotive industry. The recent launch of the EV9 and Carnival Limousine marks the beginning of this transformation, showcasing advanced technologies that underscore Kia’s role as an industry disruptor.
Central to the Kia 2.0 initiative are groundbreaking innovations, including the rollout of Kia Connect 2.0 and advanced Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) technology. Kia Connect 2.0, the updated Connected Car platform, allows for over-the-air (OTA) updates not only for maps but also for vehicle diagnostics. This capability enables Kia to remotely diagnose and address issues with the newly launched EV9 and Carnival Limousine, which feature 44 and 27 controller modules, respectively.
The V2X technology is another significant advancement, seamlessly integrating vehicles with buyers’ digital lifestyles and unlocking new possibilities for connectivity. Currently, the EV9 is the only vehicle in India equipped with V2X compatibility, with plans to expand this feature to other models as market readiness is assessed.
