Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. announced the grand reopening of its Tochigi Plant Guest Hall following extensive renovations designed to provide an enhanced, interactive experience for visitors. Located in Tochigi Prefecture, the guest hall has been a cornerstone of the plant’s outreach efforts, welcoming over 2.43 million visitors since 1974, primarily elementary school students.
The revamped facility offers a modern showcase of Nissan’s cutting-edge manufacturing technologies, including the latest vehicles produced at the plant. Guests are guided through the car-making process, which highlights five key stages: pressing, body welding, painting, assembly, and inspection. The newly designed exhibits utilize videos, part displays, and interactive features, ensuring an engaging experience for all ages.
The Tochigi Plant is home to Nissan’s pioneering Nissan Intelligent Factory concept, which focuses on next-generation manufacturing technologies and carbon-neutral production. Visitors to the guest hall can explore this innovative approach through state-of-the-art displays.
