As BMW Welt prepares for temporary closure in January 2025 for extensive refurbishment, it has lined up an exciting series of events and innovations for the coming months. From sports awards and charity concerts to interactive experiences and new digital services, visitors are in for a treat before the venue’s brief hiatus.
“With a diverse program scheduled until the end of 2024 and major upgrades in early 2025, we are eager to continue inspiring and delighting our guests,” says Sandra Wittemer, Head of BMW Welt.
New Digital Innovations and Interactive Learning
BMW Welt has introduced a cutting-edge Digital Vehicle Consultation Service allowing customers to design their dream vehicles remotely using the Emotional Virtual Experience (EVE) platform. Meanwhile, younger visitors can explore “The Campus,” which now features “Multiball,” a system turning walls into interactive gaming surfaces for sports like tennis and football, creating an engaging learning environment.
Key Events to Close Out 2024
BMW Welt will host several prestigious events in the final months of the year:
- 12 October 2024: Bavarian Sports Award – A celebration of athletes’ achievements following a year of major sporting events like the Olympics and European Football Championship.
- 23 October 2024: Blauer Panther – TV & Streaming Award – Germany’s top talents from the television and streaming industries will gather for an evening of glitz and glamor.
- 25 October 2024: Benefit Concert – Organized by Helping Hands Staff of BMW Group e. V., this charity event supports children with disabilities, featuring volunteer performances by musicians and technicians.
- 9 November 2024: Claire Douglas Reading – Crime fiction fans can look forward to a live reading by the bestselling thriller author as part of the 20th International Crime Festival.
- 21, 22, and 30 November 2024: Candlelight Concerts – Visitors can enjoy magical performances, including aerial acrobatics on 30 November, in an enchanting candlelit setting.
BMW Welt’s Temporary Closure and Exciting Renovations
Starting 7 January 2025, BMW Welt will close its doors for five weeks to undergo extensive renovations aimed at enhancing visitor and customer experiences. During this time, all in-person services will be suspended, but the digital consultation service will remain operational. BMW Welt will reopen to the public on 10 February 2025.
