India’s electric two-wheeler market leader ZELIO Ebikes is set to significantly expand its footprint, targeting 400 dealerships by the end of the fiscal year in March 2025. The company, which already boasts 256 dealers, aims to capitalise on the increasing demand for sustainable transportation solutions across urban and semi-urban regions.
Currently, ZELIO operates across 224 showrooms in cities nationwide, with one company-owned and company-operated (COCO) outlet and the rest functioning under the franchise-owned, franchise-operated (FOFO) model. The company’s top-performing markets include Hisar, Kaithal, Gwalior, Chhatarpur, and Bhubaneswar, reflecting strong demand for reliable and cost-effective electric two-wheelers.
ZELIO’s existing dealership network is led by West Bengal, which has 45 outlets, followed closely by Uttar Pradesh with 42, Haryana with 40, Gujarat with 27, and Punjab with 26. Other key markets include Rajasthan (19), Madhya Pradesh (11), Delhi (8), Maharashtra and Odisha (7 each), and several other states with fewer dealerships.
Looking ahead, ZELIO plans to expand into new regions, with a strategic focus on states like Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Jharkhand, Bihar, and Karnataka, where the demand for electric vehicles is expected to grow rapidly. Dedicated campaigns are being developed to boost brand presence in these areas, as the company looks to bring its innovative e-scooters to a broader audience.
Commenting on the company’s ambitious expansion plans, Kunal Arya, Co-Founder and Managing Director of ZELIO Ebikes, said, “The goal of reaching 400 dealerships by March 2025 represents not just a business milestone, but our unwavering commitment to pioneering a sustainable transportation future. Each new dealership is a vital step towards reducing carbon emissions and revolutionising urban commuting across India.”
ZELIO’s success in the electric two-wheeler market is underpinned by popular models such as the GRACY and X Men Series, both of which have gained popularity for their practicality and style. The company recently launched the Eeva series to cater to the evolving needs of modern commuters. Additionally, ZELIO plans to introduce a High-Speed Cargo Scooter, featuring a 90 KM range and a 150 kg load capacity, which will tap into the growing demand within the logistics and commercial transport sectors.
As ZELIO continues to grow and expand into new regions, the company is cementing its position as a key player in India’s transition towards cleaner and more efficient electric mobility solutions.
