VinFast is setting a new standard in the electric vehicle (EV) market by developing a model range and customer support network designed to make EVs both aspirational and accessible for European consumers. A key aspect of this initiative is the integration of what3words technology into the VF 8 model, which aims to simplify navigation and enhance user experience.
The VF 8 now features what3words, a tool that allows drivers to input precise locations using a unique combination of three words instead of traditional postcodes or street names. This advancement addresses common navigation challenges, such as pinpointing specific building entrances or locations without street addresses, including new builds and secluded residences.
VinFast’s commitment to simplifying EV ownership is evident in its transparent sales and aftersales models. The VF 8 offers two models, Eco and Plus, both featuring high standard specifications at competitive prices. Comparatively, the VF 8 Plus is priced 14.5% lower than European rivals when accounting for similar options. Additionally, VinFast provides a 10-year, 200,000km warranty with unlimited mileage cover for the 87.7 kWh battery, ensuring comprehensive coverage and peace of mind.
The what3words integration also extends to VinFast’s mobile service offering, ensuring customers, whether in urban or rural locations, receive consistent and efficient service. The partnership with what3words enhances navigation for service appointments and public charge points, simplifying access even in hard-to-find locations.
This innovation aligns with VinFast’s broader strategy of leveraging technology and strategic partnerships to improve the EV ownership experience. As what3words gains global traction, VinFast’s adoption of the system contributes to more precise and user-friendly navigation, reducing the likelihood of drivers being misled by outdated directions.
