Greaves Electric Mobility (GEMPL), the electric mobility arm of Greaves Cotton Limited, is ramping up its growth strategy following the approval of the Electric Mobility Production Scheme (EMPS) incentive from the Ministry of Heavy Industries (MHI). This incentive will support GEMPL’s Ampere range of electric scooters, including the Nexus, Magnus, Zeal, and Primus models.

In response to the rising demand for electric vehicles across India, Ampere is actively seeking dealership partners nationwide. With a current network of 400 dealerships, the company aims to expand its footprint under its “Har Gully Electric” vision. The initiative is designed to provide partners with a robust, experience-driven retail model backed by Ampere’s established support infrastructure.

The expansion drive is also geared toward enhancing customer experiences. Ampere’s Magnus scooter, a popular model, is now available at a reduced price of ₹84,900, further strengthening the brand’s value proposition. With more than 300,000 customers, Ampere has developed a strong reputation in the market.
