Ford is bringing a new level of entertainment to its vehicles with the introduction of in-vehicle karaoke, thanks to the Stingray Karaoke App. Starting with the F-150 Lightning and soon expanding to the Mustang Mach-E, Ford owners and their passengers can now enjoy a karaoke experience while on the road or parked, making long trips or charging stops more enjoyable.
The feature allows users to select from a vast library of songs across genres like Rock, Country, Pop, R&B, and more. With lyrics available in 38 languages, including localized characters such as Thai, Hebrew, and Russian, the app offers a diverse musical experience suitable for all ages.
Ford’s engineering team, in collaboration with Stingray, has developed a unique karaoke experience for passengers. While driving, a front-seat passenger can scan a QR code from the vehicle’s screen to control the playlist and view lyrics on their smartphone. The system ensures safety by only enabling this feature when the passenger is seated and buckled in.
“We’re excited to deliver this fun and interactive experience for our owners and their families. Whether parked or on the move, karaoke adds a new level of joy to the journey,” said Ford’s product team.
The Stingray Karaoke App will first be rolled out via a software update to eligible F-150 Lightning models in 2024, followed by Mustang Mach-E vehicles. The feature will later become available for additional models like the 2025 Ford Explorer and Lincoln Navigator as part of the Ford and Lincoln Digital Experience.
