Ford has officially introduced the all-new 2025 Mustang GTD, pushing the boundaries of street-legal performance with 815 horsepower, 664 pound-feet of torque, and a top speed of 202 miles per hour. This makes it the most powerful street-legal Mustang ever produced.

Equipped with a cutting-edge supercharged 5.2-liter V8 engine, the Mustang GTD stands apart with features like a dry-sump oil system, which improves engine lubrication under high-G cornering. The enhanced V8 achieves an elevated 7,650 rpm, along with a refined intake and exhaust system, allowing the GTD to outmuscle performance icons such as the Porsche 911 GT3 RS in horsepower per liter.

Ford engineers have also focused on aerodynamics and handling to ensure the GTD lives up to its promise of a sub-seven-minute Nürburgring lap. The car comes equipped with advanced active aerodynamics, including a Drag Reduction System (DRS) that adjusts the rear wing and underbody flaps for optimal performance in various driving conditions. This technology allows for an ideal balance between speed and downforce, enhancing grip during high-speed runs.

“We set out to make Mustang GTD the first-ever supercar with world-class performance and the soul of a Mustang,” said Greg Goodall, Chief Program Engineer for the GTD. “We’re confident it will deliver on our promise of a sub-7-minute lap at the Nürburgring.”

Beyond the raw power, the Mustang GTD boasts carbon-ceramic brakes and an inboard-rear suspension with semi-active dampers, delivering unparalleled control and stopping power. Ford’s commitment to innovation is also evident in the titanium exhaust system and smaller supercharger pulley, which contribute to the GTD’s remarkable power output and acceleration.

With production expected to begin soon, Ford enthusiasts and supercar aficionados alike are eagerly awaiting the release of this groundbreaking performance machine.
