Hyundai Motor Sweeps 2024 Red Dot Awards with 17 Accolades, Including Three ‘Best of the Best’ Wins

Hyundai Motor Company has earned 17 prestigious honors at the 2024 Red Dot Award: Brand & Communications Design, including three coveted ‘Best of the Best’ awards. This achievement reaffirms the automaker’s creative and technological prowess across multiple consumer-facing mediums.

Among the top winners, the ‘Best of the Best’ recognitions went to the ‘The Ad That Should Have Been’ campaign, the ‘Autonomous Driving Technology by Hyundai IONIQ 5 Robotaxi’ advertising film, and the ‘Unveiling E-GMP’ brand experience exhibition.

The ‘The Ad That Should Have Been’ campaign celebrates Hyundai’s design heritage by revisiting the Pony Coupe Concept, the brand’s first concept car, with a nostalgic nod to vintage automotive advertising.

Hyundai’s ‘Autonomous Driving Technology by Hyundai IONIQ 5 Robotaxi’ film showcases the safety and accessibility of the company’s autonomous technology, offering a vision of a future where mobility is inclusive for all. The ad has also garnered multiple awards globally, including at the New York Festival Advertising Awards 2024 and MAD STARS 2024.

The ‘Unveiling E-GMP’ exhibition, held at the IONIQ Lab in Bangkok, Thailand, provides a dynamic experience of Hyundai’s Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) through live robotic performances, merging technology and art.

Hyundai also received 14 additional ‘Winner’ awards across various categories. Standout projects include the FIFA Women’s World Cup ‘How Far We’ve Come’ and ‘Dogbility’ ad campaigns in the Advertising category, as well as the ‘Advanced Air Mobility: Supernal’ initiative, which earned honors in the Corporate Design & Identity category.

Hyundai’s consistent global recognition is underscored by its success across various competitions, including the iF Design Award 2023, IDEA Design Award 2024, and New York Festival Advertising Awards 2024. These accolades showcase the company’s innovation and dedication to its vision of ‘Progress for Humanity.’
