Greaves Electric Mobility Private Limited (GEMPL), the electric mobility division of Greaves Cotton Limited, has announced that the Ministry of Heavy Industries (MHI) has approved the registration of its two-wheeler models—Nexus, Primus, Magnus, and Zeal—under the Electric Mobility Promotion Scheme (EMPS). This approval makes the company eligible for the Government of India’s EV demand incentive scheme, aimed at promoting the adoption of electric vehicles.

GEMPL’s three-wheeler segment, operated through its subsidiary, has already been benefiting from demand incentives under the EMPS Scheme. With the recent inclusion of its two-wheeler models, the company is well-positioned to enhance its contribution to accessible and sustainable mobility solutions across India.

K. Vijaya Kumar, Executive Director & CEO of Greaves Electric Mobility, said, “Resuming our place in the EMPS scheme reinforces our commitment to providing innovative and sustainable mobility solutions to our consumers as we continue to lead in India’s EV journey.”
