The Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) has announced an open tender for the procurement of 30 ready-built electric air-conditioned buses. These buses are of Type-II with a 2×3 seat layout and are intended to bolster the state’s commitment to sustainable public transportation.
The tender has an estimated value of ₹36 crore. Interested parties can download tender documents starting from August 15, 2024, and the bid submission deadline is September 20, 2024, at 3:00 PM. The bids will be opened later that day at 4:00 PM in Lucknow.
Prospective bidders are required to pay a tender fee of ₹29,500, which is non-exempt, and an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of ₹36,00,500. The payment for these fees must be made offline, and the EMD is set as a fixed amount, not a percentage. All payments should be directed to the General Manager (Maintenance and Monitoring Team) at UPSRTC, Lucknow.
A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for August 27, 2024, at 3:00 PM in the Committee Hall at UPSRTC headquarters in Lucknow. This meeting will offer bidders the opportunity to seek clarifications and discuss any concerns regarding the tender.
The tender process involves two covers: one for fee and technical documents and the other for the financial bid. The contract will be awarded on an item rate basis, and the bid will remain valid for 365 days. The entire project, from the award of the contract to the completion of the work, is expected to be completed within 365 days.
This tender is part of UPSRTC’s broader efforts to modernize its fleet with eco-friendly alternatives, contributing to cleaner air and reduced carbon emissions in Uttar Pradesh.
