The commercial electric vehicle manufacturer Euler Motors announced its entry into the small commercial vehicle (SCV) market. The company plans to launch its first four-wheeler, capable of carrying over 1,000 kg of payload, during the upcoming festive season. This new SCV aims to address the increasing need for economical and high-performance transportation solutions for both inter- and intra-city routes.
Currently a well-established player in the electric three-wheeler sector, Euler Motors revealed that its first four-wheeler model will feature a long driving range, substantial payload capacity, and advanced real-time fleet management capabilities.
In a statement, Euler Motors said, “We are entering the SCV segment with our first 4-wheeler, which will offer a payload capacity of more than 1000 kg.”
Saurav Kumar, Founder and CEO of Euler Motors, commented, “Commercial electric vehicles need to meet the demands of various industries, handling different volumes, payloads, and ranges. Our goal is to create vehicles that seamlessly integrate across all industry sectors.”
Euler Motors pointed out that India’s SCV market, expected to be valued at Rs 34,900 crore by FY27, is presently dominated by vehicles with internal combustion engines. However, the company noted that while electric vehicles still represent a smaller segment, they are expected to experience the fastest growth.
The company also mentioned that electric vehicles offer significant cost savings and are approaching price parity with traditional fuel-powered vehicles, making them an attractive option for businesses looking to enhance operational efficiency and sustainability.
