Toyota GAZOO Racing (TGR) has officially announced the launch of the GR Supra GT4 EVO2, the latest iteration of its successful GR Supra GT4 series. Building on the model’s impressive track record—over 120 units sold and more than 500 podium finishes across 11 countries—this new version aims to further solidify its dominance in global GT4 racing.

The GR Supra GT4 EVO2, set to debut in January 2025 at the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge in Daytona, features significant enhancements in braking, handling, and engine performance. With feedback from racing teams and drivers, TGR has meticulously re-tuned the car’s ABS maps for optimal braking and cornering, while downshifting times have been reduced through improved rev matching. These updates are designed to provide superior deceleration control and increased cornering speeds.

In addition to performance upgrades, the EVO2 model includes enhanced cooling systems for the engine, brakes, and drivetrain. Cockpit temperatures have been optimized for driver comfort, ensuring consistent performance in extreme conditions. These improvements make the GR Supra GT4 EVO2 not only more competitive for professional racers but also more accessible for amateur drivers worldwide.

With a robust steel/aluminum body, cutting-edge KW adjustable racing dampers, Brembo racing calipers, and a powerful in-line six-cylinder engine capable of delivering up to 660 Nm of torque, the GR Supra GT4 EVO2 is poised to make a strong impact on the 2025 GT4 racing season. Toyota’s commitment to “driver-first car-making” continues to push the boundaries of motorsport excellence.
