Mattel, Inc., BMW Group, and AirConsole are set to debut the world’s first in-car version of the classic card game UNO at Gamescom 2024, the leading global event for video games. Titled “UNO Car Party!”, this innovative game will be available in over 500,000 BMW and MINI vehicles via over-the-air update starting on August 21. Visitors at Gamescom can experience the game firsthand in the BMW X3 at the AirConsole booth.

The collaboration brings the beloved card game to a new frontier: in-car gaming. Designed for use when vehicles are parked, passengers can join the action by connecting their smartphones to the car’s infotainment system through AirConsole. Up to four players can participate, with each player privately viewing their cards on their phone while the game board appears on the car’s central display.

“UNO is perfect for in-car gaming because it’s easy to learn and immensely engaging,” said Erika Winterholler, Mattel’s Head of Business Development, Digital Gaming. “This new experience turns pit stops and breaks into moments of fun and social connection.”

With this launch, BMW, Mattel, and AirConsole continue to lead the way in fusing entertainment and mobility.
