Exicom Tele-systems Limited Acquires Tritium Group to Enhance Global EV Charging Capabilities

Exicom Tele-systems Limited, India’s largest Electric Vehicle (EV) charger manufacturer, has announced a major strategic move with its subsidiary Exicom Power Solutions B.V. Netherlands entering into a definitive agreement to acquire the Tritium group of companies. Tritium, headquartered in Australia, is renowned as a global leader in DC Fast Chargers.

Tritium, founded in 2001, has established itself as a prominent name in the industry with over 13,000 DC Fast Chargers sold across 47 countries. The company is known for its advanced, liquid-cooled DC Fast Chargers, which combine aesthetic design with durability and ease of installation.

The acquisition, which includes Tritium’s manufacturing facility in Tennessee, USA, and its engineering centre in Brisbane, Australia, significantly enhances Exicom’s global presence. This move will bolster Exicom’s commitment to advancing EV infrastructure and innovation. The expanded reach and complementary product portfolios of Exicom and Tritium are expected to accelerate the adoption of EV infrastructure worldwide.

According to BloombergNEF’s “Economic Transition Scenario,” EVs are projected to account for 45 percent of global passenger-vehicle sales by 2030 and 73 percent by 2040, highlighting the growing importance of this sector.
