Audi is enhancing its electric vehicle lineup with the introduction of the Q4 35 e-tron, a new entry in the premium compact SUV segment. Available from July, the Q4 35 e-tron offers a more accessible entry point into Audi’s electric range.

The Q4 35 e-tron features a 55 kWh (52 kWh net) battery, providing a driving range of up to 355 kilometers for the SUV variant and 365 kilometers for the Sportback. With improved cell chemistry, the battery can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in just 25 minutes at a fast-charging station. Additionally, the vehicle can gain up to 125 kilometers of range (130 kilometers for the Sportback) in just ten minutes of charging, with a maximum DC charging power of 145 kW.

Performance-wise, the Q4 35 e-tron accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.0 seconds, with a top speed of 160 km/h. It is powered by a rear axle-mounted 125 kW (170 hp) permanently excited synchronous machine (PSM), offering high efficiency and superior power delivery. The electric motor benefits from sophisticated thermal management to keep drivetrain temperatures low, supported by a water-cooling jacket on the stator.

For enhanced connectivity, the Q4 35 e-tron will feature the Audi Application Store in its Multi-Media Interface (MMI) starting this July. The store provides access to a wide range of apps, including news, podcasts, sports, and entertainment, without needing a smartphone. A complimentary 25 GB data package for one year, provided by Cubic Telecom, will improve reception quality and save smartphone battery life.

The vehicle also includes an updated navigation system that allows for precise planning of charging stops and selection of charging stations from specific providers. The smartphone interface seamlessly integrates content, such as navigation and music, with the MMI touch display.

Notably, ChatGPT will be integrated into the Q4 e-tron models’ online voice input, powered by Microsoft’s Azure OpenAI Service and Cerence Inc.’s Chat Pro solution. This feature enables advanced voice control for infotainment, navigation, and climate settings, enhancing driver safety and convenience.

Priced from 45,600 euros for the Q4 35 e-tron and 47,600 euros for the Q4 Sportback 35 e-tron, the new models come equipped with Audi MMI navigation plus, Audi Connect, and a 10.25-inch Audi virtual cockpit. The boot lid is electrically operated and can be opened with foot gestures, and the heated front seats are included as standard. Orders for both body variants are now being accepted.
