Thunder Plus, a prominent Indian electric vehicle (EV) charging company, has announced a strategic partnership with Oyika, a Singapore-based battery swapping company. The collaboration, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), aims to broaden Thunder Plus’s presence in the Southeast Asian market.
Under the terms of the agreement, Thunder Plus will introduce its full suite of EV charging products, including cutting-edge fast chargers for two-wheelers and three-wheelers, into Oyika’s battery swapping stations throughout Southeast Asia. This integration is expected to enhance the EV infrastructure across the region.
The partnership marks a significant step for Thunder Plus in expanding its export market and establishing a strong presence in the burgeoning EV sectors of Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia, and Singapore. The collaboration will also facilitate the exchange of technological expertise and business networks between the two companies, with the goal of accelerating EV adoption in Southeast Asia.

In conjunction with the announcement, Raj Kumar, Director at Thunder Plus, showcased the company’s flagship product, the Thunder Lite. This 3.3 kW AC universal charger is designed to be versatile, capable of charging vehicles ranging from two-wheelers to four-wheelers, and can transform any wall or pole into an electric charging station.
