Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu met with VinFast CEO Pham Sanh Chau on Wednesday for an engaging discussion. He extended an invitation to the Vietnamese automobile giant to set up electric vehicle and battery manufacturing facilities in Andhra Pradesh. The Chief Minister directed the Industries department to assist VinFast in identifying suitable land for their operations.
CM Naidu shared this update on the microblogging site X, stating, “Had a fruitful discussion with VinFast CEO Mr. Pham Sanh Chau. VinFast is a prominent automobile company from Vietnam. Invited them to set up their EV and battery manufacturing facilities in Andhra Pradesh. The industries department has been instructed to assist with their visit to appropriate land parcels. Looking forward to a successful partnership.”
Earlier on Tuesday, the newly-formed Andhra Pradesh government, led by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, released a whitepaper on the state’s power sector. The document highlighted issues and alleged mismanagement by the previous government under Jagan Mohan Reddy.
