Tata Motors Celebrates Milestone: 2 Million SUVs on Indian Roads

Tata Motors, India’s leading automotive and SUV manufacturer, proudly announces a historic milestone with over 2 million SUVs now gracing Indian roads. The extensive SUV portfolio, including the Safari, Harrier, Nexon, and Punch, alongside the iconic Sierra and Safari nameplates, has played a pivotal role in reaching this achievement. These robust SUVs have not only defined their segments but also exemplified Tata Motors’ commitment to safety, design, and advanced technology, earning the title ‘King of SUVs’.

From the launch of India’s first SUV, the Tata Sierra in 1991, to the introduction of the compact SUV concept Nexon at the 2014 Auto Expo, and the creation of a new sub-compact SUV category with the Punch, Tata Motors has consistently pioneered the SUV market in India. The company’s portfolio includes the highest number of 5-star rated B-NCAP and G-NCAP SUVs, underscoring its dedication to safety and innovation.

To celebrate this milestone, Tata Motors is launching the “King of SUVs” festival. The event features revised starting prices for flagship SUVs, with the Harrier now starting at ₹14.99 lakhs and the Safari at ₹15.49 lakhs. Additionally, customers can enjoy benefits of up to ₹1.4 lakhs on popular SUV variants. In the electric vehicle segment, the Nexon.ev is now more accessible than ever with benefits up to ₹1.3 lakhs, and the Punch.ev is offered with a benefit of up to ₹30,000. The ongoing “7 in 7” celebration of 7 lakh Nexons on the road also continues due to popular demand.
