Italian electric two-wheeler brand VLF announced its entry into the rapidly expanding Indian electric vehicle market on Monday. In collaboration with KAW Veloce Motors, VLF intends to launch its e-scooter model, Tennis, during the upcoming festive season. Founded by designer Alessandro Tartarini in 1993, VLF will also establish a manufacturing plant in Kolhapur, taking advantage of the KAW Group’s extensive six-decade experience in the region.
The company aims to build a strong dealer network throughout India, focusing on key tier 1 and tier 2 cities. VLF targets having 15 dealerships operational by the end of 2024, with plans to expand this number to 50 by March of the following year.
KAW Veloce Motors will handle both the manufacturing and distribution of VLF’s products. Tartarini emphasized the need for stylish, distinctive products in a competitive and evolving market.
VLF aims to make a notable impact on the Indian electric two-wheeler market with a focus on premium, aspirational branding and affordable riding experiences.
