Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini launched 50 new electric vehicles for door-to-door garbage collection, bringing the total fleet to over 500.

The Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) is actively enhancing its cleanliness system, particularly in door-to-door waste collection. Additionally, 19 HCS officers have been appointed to oversee the sanitation efforts across all wards of the corporation area.

As part of the government’s Solid Waste Environmental Excellence Performance (SWEEP) initiative, the monitoring of cleanliness and waste disposal is being intensified. Secondary garbage collection sites, including Khandsa and Vatika Chowk, have been transformed into zero garbage points to ensure consistent waste removal.

The newly introduced electric vehicles are expected to accelerate household garbage collection while also contributing to environmental protection.
