Hyundai has introduced the all-electric INSTER, a new A-segment sub-compact EV, showcasing its bold design, advanced technology, and segment-leading driving range at the 2024 Busan International Mobility Show.

Simon Loasby, Senior Vice President and Head of the Hyundai Design Center, highlighted INSTER’s unique positioning between traditional A-segment city cars and larger B-segment models, emphasizing its robust SUV profile and innovative design elements.

The INSTER features distinctive LED daytime running lights, pixel-graphic turn signals, and a high-tech bumper design. Inside, it offers a 10.25-inch digital cluster, an infotainment touchscreen with navigation, and a wireless charging dock, enhancing convenience and technology integration.

Performance-wise, the INSTER boasts a segment-leading projected range of 355 km on a single charge (WLTP) for the Long-Range model, with an energy consumption of 15.3 kWh/100 km (WLTP). It supports fast charging up to 120 kW DC, enabling a 10 to 80 percent charge in approximately 30 minutes under optimal conditions.

The global rollout of the INSTER will commence in Korea this summer, followed by launches in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia Pacific regions. Detailed specifications will be confirmed closer to each market’s launch date.
