Earlier this week, the two-millionth Hyundai Tucson rolled off the production line at Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Czech (HMMC) in Nošovice. This particular unit, finished in Sailing Blue Pearl and equipped with a 1.6 T-GDi HEV engine, is destined for its new owner in the U.K. This milestone underscores the Tucson’s status as Hyundai’s most popular model in Europe.

The fourth-generation Tucson, currently in production, boasts a refreshed design, an upgraded interior, and an enhanced features package. In 2023 alone, 244,495 units have been produced, representing approximately 70 percent of HMMC’s total output. These vehicles have been exported to 70 countries worldwide, with the majority in Europe being shipped to the U.K., Spain, Germany, and France.

Hyundai has also expanded the Tucson’s powertrain options to include hybrid and plug-in hybrid engines. These alternative powertrains are in high demand, with 2 out of every 5 fourth-generation Tucsons sold in Europe being either hybrid or plug-in hybrid models.
