BMW Unveils Upgraded 2 Series Coupé: A Blend of Sportiness and Digital Innovation

BMW has revealed the new 2 Series Coupé, featuring a detailed redesign, enhanced standard equipment, and advanced digitalization, promising an exhilarating driving experience in the compact segment. The updated two-door model will hit the market in August 2024, manufactured at BMW’s San Luis Potosí plant in Mexico.

Sportier and More Dynamic

The new BMW 2 Series Coupé comes standard with the M Sport Package, including extended comfort features. The revamped exterior boasts fresh paint finishes, light-alloy wheels, and modern interior trim, giving it a contemporary and dynamic look. The M specific design includes large air intakes, powerful side skirts, and a striking rear apron, emphasizing the vehicle’s sporty character.

Innovative Interior and Digital Features

Inside, the BMW 2 Series Coupé is enhanced with the latest BMW iDrive system, featuring QuickSelect and the BMW Operating System 8.5. A new fully digital BMW Curved Display, comprising a 12.3-inch Information Display and a 14.9-inch Control Display, simplifies operation through touch or voice commands. The interior also features a new M leather steering wheel, heated sports seats, and optional M sport seats for an elevated driving experience.

Engine Options and Performance

The 2 Series Coupé offers a range of engines, including highly efficient four-cylinder petrol and diesel units, as well as an in-line six-cylinder engine in the BMW M240i xDrive Coupé. All models are equipped with an eight-speed Steptronic transmission, with the M240i xDrive Coupé capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.3 seconds.

Enhanced Safety and Convenience

Standard safety features have been significantly expanded, now including Parking Assistant, front collision warning, Lane Departure Warning, and Cruise Control with braking function. Optional systems such as Driving Assistant and Active Cruise Control with Stop & Go function are also available.

Sustainable Production

The BMW 2 Series Coupé is produced at the BMW Group plant in San Luis Potosí, which employs efficient and sustainable production processes. The plant also manufactures the BMW 3 Series Sedan with combustion engine and plug-in hybrid drive.

The new BMW 2 Series Coupé, with its combination of sporty design, powerful engines, and advanced digital features, is set to redefine driving pleasure in the compact segment.
