Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has announced robust sales figures for the month of May 2024, demonstrating a significant year-on-year growth of 24%. The company sold 25,273 units during this period, compared to 20,410 units in May 2023. Domestic sales accounted for 23,959 units, while an additional 1,314 units were exported. This performance marks a noteworthy 48% surge in the first five months of the calendar year 2024, with total sales reaching 1,22,776 units, up from 82,763 units during the same period in the previous year.
Mr. Sabari Manohar, Vice President of Sales, Service, and Used Car Business at TKM, attributed the strong performance to the company’s unwavering customer-centric approach. He emphasized the importance of understanding diverse customer needs and offering a wide range of products and services to meet them.
Highlighting the success of TKM’s product strategy, Mr. Manohar mentioned the newest addition to their SUV lineup, the All-New Urban Cruiser Taisor. He expressed excitement about the positive customer feedback and strong demand for the Taisor, which offers a fusion of style, high performance, fuel economy, and striking exterior design. The Taisor is available in three engine options – 1.0L Turbo, 1.2L Petrol, and E-CNG, backed by Toyota’s renowned value-added services.
Mr. Manohar also acknowledged the contribution of TKM’s diversified portfolio, which includes models such as the Innova Crysta, Innova Hycross, Fortuner, Legender, Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Hilux, and LC300. He highlighted the strong sales performance of models like the Camry Hybrid, Glanza, Vellfire, and Rumion, which have significantly contributed to the company’s upward trajectory.
