The Institute of Road Transport’s Central Purchase Unit has initiated an open tender for the supply, operation, and maintenance of 100 12-meter low-floor AC electric buses and charging solutions, accompanied by depot improvement works for the Metropolitan Transport Corporation in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
The project, valued at INR 2,50,00,000, aims to modernize the city’s public transport system and enhance its sustainability.
