Performance Upgrades The new BMW M3 models showcase the most powerful version of the six-cylinder in-line engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology. Key performance figures include:
- M3 Competition Sedan with M xDrive: 390 kW/530 hp, 0-100 km/h in 3.5 seconds, 0-200 km/h in 11.8 seconds.
- M3 Competition Touring with M xDrive: 390 kW/530 hp, 0-100 km/h in 3.6 seconds, 0-200 km/h in 12.4 seconds.
- Standard M3 Sedan: 353 kW/480 hp, six-speed manual gearbox, rear-wheel drive.
Engine Technology The high-revving 3.0-litre engine features several innovations adapted from motorsport, such as:
