
At the Advanced Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo, Hyundai Motor Company (Hyundai Motor) and autonomous driving software leader Plus announced the inauguration of Level 4 autonomous Class 8 hydrogen fuel cell electric truck in the U.S., marking a significant milestone in advanced clean transportation technology showcased at North America’s premier fleet event.
The Level 4 autonomous XCIENT Fuel Cell truck is currently undergoing its initial autonomous driving evaluations in the U.S., marking the first-ever Level 4 self-driving test conducted on a Class 8 fuel cell electric truck in the country. Through this collaboration, the aim is to demonstrate how autonomous hydrogen fuel cell trucks can enhance safety, efficiency, and sustainability in the trucking industry.
The XCIENT Fuel Cell truck by Hyundai Motor, integrated with Plus SuperDrive™ Level 4 autonomous driving technology, is showcased at Plus’ booth (#2044) during the ACT Expo, a collaborative effort between Hyundai Motor and Plus.
