Citroën, the renowned French automaker, has inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with OHM E Logistics, a prominent logistics firm in India, to introduce 1,000 Citroën ë-C3 electric vehicles (EVs) into OHM’s electric shared mobility services gradually. Initially, 120 Citroën ë-C3 vehicles will be deployed in Hyderabad as part of the first fleet induction phase.
The award-winning Citroën ë-C3, an all-electric compact SUV, is poised to play a crucial role in OHM E Logistics’ mission to bolster its fleet with sustainable mobility solutions in the Hyderabad region. Offering an impressive range of 320 kilometers according to ARAI standards, the Citroën ë-C3 boasts advanced fast charging technology, enabling a full charge in under an hour. Its spacious interior and ample cargo capacity make it an ideal choice for various logistics needs, ensuring efficient and eco-friendly transportation solutions.
Shishir Mishra, Brand Director at Citroën India, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership with OHM E Logistics, emphasizing the ë-C3’s blend of performance, comfort, and eco-friendliness. Mishra highlighted the partnership’s shared vision of promoting electric mobility and reducing carbon footprint in the mobility sector.
Nirmal Reddy, Founder & Chairman of OHM Group, echoed Mishra’s sentiments, expressing excitement about incorporating the Citroën All-New ë-C3 into OHM’s fleet. Reddy emphasized OHM’s commitment to sustainable energy solutions and reducing carbon emissions.
The delivery of the initial batch of 120 Citroën ë-C3 vehicles in Hyderabad marks the beginning of a promising partnership between OHM Logistics and Citroën India. Over the next year, OHM E Logistics aims to integrate the remaining 880 vehicles into its fleet, underscoring its dedication to sustainable and efficient logistics solutions. OHM initially introduced 100 electric cabs in October 2022 at GMR Hyderabad Airport, offering passengers a sustainable mode of transport to and from the airport.
