In a dynamic collaboration for the third consecutive year, ESMT Berlin and the BMW Group are proud to introduce the BMW Group Change Maker Fellowships. These ten full-tuition fellowships, offered as part of the ESMT Global Online MBA program, aim to empower aspiring young professionals in mathematics or technology to drive positive and impactful change in their respective fields.

Building upon their longstanding partnership, ESMT Berlin and the BMW Group have previously supported initiatives aiding displaced women from Ukraine and young professionals from Central and Eastern Europe. In 2024, the focus shifts towards digitalization, nurturing the development of tech-savvy future leaders in key regions.

Ilka Horstmeier, Member of the Board of Management of BMW AG, emphasizes the company’s commitment to fostering positive change, stating, “We at the BMW Group are deeply committed to making positive changes in the world. It is our common goal to help young professionals become the leaders we need to shape future individual mobility.”

He expresses delight in continuing the partnership with BMW Group, enabling the cultivation of the next generation of change makers and innovators.

The ESMT Global Online MBA, the first completely online program offered by the international business school, places emphasis on decision-making, analytics, and innovation. The modular course design allows students to study at their own pace, with no physical attendance required, providing flexibility for participants from any location.

Applicants for the BMW Group Change Maker Fellowships must meet specific criteria, including holding an undergraduate degree or current employment in mathematics and/or technology, being aged 30 or younger on September 1, 2024, and being a citizen or permanent resident of Germany, India, Portugal, Romania, or South Africa.

The fellowship application process includes answering a question regarding the aspect of a digital future that fascinates the applicant the most and why. This initiative aligns with the BMW Group’s focus on shaping the future of mobility through digital innovation.
