Kissan Mobility Pvt. Ltd. (OnEv), a startup headquartered in the National Capital Region (NCR) and founded by Kamlesh Kaushik and his team, intends to roll out an additional 500 EV L5 3-Wheelers and 100 EV passenger 4-Wheelers during the current fiscal year 2024-25, with plans to ramp up to 2000 EVs within two years. This announcement coincides with the company’s first-year anniversary celebrations.

As part of its anniversary agenda, OnEv aims to not just launch these vehicles in Delhi-NCR and Chandigarh but also to extend its operations to tier-II cities, villages, and rural areas across Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh.

OnEv launched its services in Delhi-NCR in 2023 with only three EV L5 autos, but within a year, it has scaled up to 300 vehicles, serving areas in Delhi-NCR and Punjab. Collaborating with EV Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) such as OSM, Piaggio, Euler, Greaves, Graveol, and Tata Ace for vehicle procurement, along with leasing partners for vehicle acquisition, OnEv has significantly impacted the livelihoods of its driver partners.

Reflecting on the company’s first-year milestones and the introduction of new vehicles, Kamlesh Kaushik, Founder & CEO of OnEv, expressed, “After a successful first year of operations, we are now aggressively expanding our innovative product offerings and market presence over the next 2-3 years. With the increasing demand for electric vehicles driven by environmental sustainability, affordability, and supportive government policies, there remains significant potential for EV adoption in rural areas and villages, where penetration by EV players is still limited. Our aim is to fortify and expand our presence in the rural areas and villages of key North Indian states like Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh, to cater to their transportation needs through our diverse range of electric vehicles, including innovative EV-based agricultural solutions to assist farmers across the country.”

Discussing future plans, Kaushik added, “We are actively seeking collaborations with EV OEMs, EV battery OEMs, service providers, and financial institutions to capitalize on the EV mobility shift. We are dedicated to expanding the electric mobility revolution to the remote and rural areas of the country within the current fiscal year.”
