Ford enthusiasts and electric vehicle enthusiasts alike have reason to rejoice as Ford announces the availability of the enhanced 2024 F-150 Lightning, packed with new technological updates and a reduced Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP).

The 2024 F-150 Lightning, now shipping from the Rouge Electric Vehicle Center, introduces several new tech features aimed at enhancing performance, efficiency, and convenience for drivers. Among the highlights is the inclusion of a Vapor Injection Heat Pump System, designed to optimize energy consumption, particularly in colder weather conditions. This innovative system utilizes vapor injection in both heating and cooling modes to ensure optimal performance regardless of ambient temperatures.

Another notable addition is the updated charging speed display on the instrument cluster, providing customers with real-time insights into charge status and charging speed, along with an estimated finished charge time. Additionally, key features from the Tow Technology Package are now standard on XLT and above trims, offering Smart Hitch, On-Board Scales, 360 Degree Camera, Pro Trailer Backup Assis, Pro Trailer Hitch Assist, and Trailer Reverse Guidance.

In a groundbreaking move, Ford has expanded charging access for Ford EV owners by gaining access to the Tesla Supercharger network. This partnership provides Ford electric vehicle drivers with access to over 15,000 Tesla Superchargers through the BlueOval Charge Network, making it the largest integrated fast-charge network across North America. This development more than doubles access to DC fast chargers, significantly enhancing charging convenience for Ford EV owners.

Furthermore, Ford has reduced the MSRP for the 2024 F-150 Lightning across various trims, making electric truck ownership more accessible to a wider audience. With the Flash Extended Range trim now available starting under $70,000, customers can enjoy advanced technology and features at a competitive price point.

The F-150 Lightning continues to solidify its position as America’s best-selling electric truck and was recently voted the top-rated electric truck by Edmunds, further cementing its status as a leader in the electric vehicle market.
