Telangana’s government is actively engaging with Tesla, striving to attract the company to establish its plant in the state, according to Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu on Thursday.
Babu emphasized the state’s keen interest in major investment opportunities, particularly focusing on Tesla’s investment plans in India since December 2023. Efforts are being made to facilitate Tesla’s presence in Telangana through ongoing discussions and dialogues.
Highlighting Telangana’s industry-friendly policies and infrastructure, Babu underscored the state’s commitment to providing a conducive environment for leading companies like Tesla to operate seamlessly.
These remarks followed a news report suggesting Tesla’s exploration of sites in India for a potential electric car plant with an estimated investment of USD 2-3 billion. BRS leader K T Rama Rao urged the Telangana government to pursue Tesla vigorously, ensuring that the company visits Hyderabad and understands the state’s progressive industrial policies.
