Rajasthan Electronics & Instruments Ltd. (REIL) has initiated a groundbreaking move to enhance electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure in New Delhi by issuing a Notice Inviting Tender (NIT) for the selection of Charge Point Operators (CPOs). This ambitious project, aimed at setting up EV charging stations across various New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) sites, marks a significant stride towards supporting the growing electric vehicle ecosystem in the capital.
The comprehensive tender, announced under the reference REIL/NP/24-25/E-PROC./001 dated April 2, 2024, outlines a detailed plan for the deployment of EV charging stations. The selected bidder will be responsible for a wide array of tasks, including the survey and identification of locations, as well as the planning, supply, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of EV charging equipment for a decade.
Prospective CPOs are invited to submit their bids by April 23, 2024, with the technical bids set to be opened the following day.
The project encapsulates the installation of fast EV charging stations, including dual-gun chargers compatible with a variety of electric vehicles. It also extends to the development of essential infrastructure like transformers and electrical connections, ensuring a seamless charging experience. Additionally, the agreement includes provisions for comprehensive on-site warranties, operational maintenance, and the management of all necessary permits and approvals, aligning with government guidelines for a sustainable, electric-powered future.
