Renault Group and Volvo Group finalized the establishment of Flexis SAS, a joint venture dedicated to creating the next generation of electric vans. With regulatory approvals secured following binding agreements signed on October 6th, 2023, the new company will engage in the production of fully electric vans based on a Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) platform and associated services.

Headquartered in France, Flexis SAS will cater to the rising demand for decarbonized and efficient urban logistics. Renault Group and Volvo Group plan to collectively invest €300 million over the next three years. Additionally, CMA CGM Group, following a non-binding agreement on October 6th, 2023, has expressed interest in a strategic investment of up to €120 million through PULSE, its €1.5 billion investment fund dedicated to logistics decarbonization.

The new line of fully electric vans featuring SDV technology is set to debut, with production of the first van slated to commence in 2026.
