Stellantis, the global automotive leader, has introduced MyTasks, a pioneering tool designed specifically for fleet managers, setting a new standard in real-time communication and task management for drivers in the field. This innovative application, accessible via the vehicle’s built-in infotainment unit, streamlines communication between fleet managers and drivers, enhancing efficiency and safety for both parties.
MyTasks marks a significant milestone in fleet management, eliminating the need for drivers to handle mobile phones while on the road, thereby reducing distractions and improving safety. Moreover, fleet managers can now seamlessly assign tasks and monitor their status without requiring aftermarket accessories, leading to enhanced efficiency and operational effectiveness.
Yves Bonnefont, Chief Software Officer at Stellantis, highlighted the customer-centric approach driving the development of MyTasks, stating, “A breakthrough tool like MyTasks is the result of when we put our customers’ needs above all else. We know that our B2B customers value efficiency and safety for their drivers and their fleets, and we are using the capabilities built into our vehicles to cut down on the potential distractions and deliver key information to make their job easier.”
MyTasks operates as a patented interface, facilitating real-time communication between managers and drivers through over-the-air updates. Notably, this innovative solution will be made available on existing Stellantis vehicles equipped with compatible communication technology and infotainment units, further expanding its accessibility and impact.
The seamless integration of MyTasks into Stellantis vehicles represents a significant advancement in fleet management technology. Fleet managers can assign tasks or adjust schedules through an online portal, with drivers receiving instant notifications via the vehicle’s infotainment screen. The connected system enables drivers to send assigned destinations to the vehicle’s navigation system for routing, while providing dispatchers with real-time status updates.
Free2move, Stellantis’ commercial arm, will integrate MyTasks into its existing suite of business solutions, complementing offerings such as Preventive Maintenance and Connect Fleet. Additionally, the service will be made available via API integration to all B2B partners with existing fleet management tools.
Pro One, the Stellantis Commercial Vehicles Business Unit, will be the first to offer MyTasks, with availability slated for the first half of this year in Europe on compact and mid-size vans from brands including Citroën, FIAT Professional, Opel, Peugeot, and Vauxhall. Expansion plans include making MyTasks accessible on large vans and compatible passenger cars in Europe, as well as commercial vehicles in North America by the end of the year.
The introduction of MyTasks underscores Stellantis’ commitment to advancing vehicle safety and driver convenience, aligning with its Dare Forward 2030 strategic plan to offer cutting-edge mobility solutions. As part of this commitment, Stellantis is developing three new technology platforms—STLA Brain, STLA SmartCockpit, and STLA AutoDrive—which will revolutionize mobility starting in 2024.
