Ultraviolette Automotive Unveils UV Supernova: A Game-Changer In DC Fast Charging Infrastructure

Ultraviolette Automotive has unveiled its DC Fast Charging infrastructure, named UV Supernova. In this charging system, the company presents the 6 kW option as Supernova, while referring to its 12 kW counterpart as Supernova Plus. This rollout of Supernova DC Fast Charging stations signifies a significant milestone for Ultraviolette as it prepares to revolutionize intercity and cross-country travel for its customers. With quicker charging times and improved convenience, owners of the F77 electric motorcycle can now embark on long-distance journeys with greater ease and confidence, according to the company.

During the initial stage, Ultraviolette has started installing more than 100 DC Fast Charging stations, including both Supernova and Supernova Plus models. Currently, 10 stations are operational across Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu. Positioned strategically along crucial motorcycle routes, such as near popular cafes and major highways, these stations aim to swiftly prepare riders and their F77 motorcycles for the next part of their journey, as outlined in a press release.

The Supernova DC Fast Charging stations are equipped with the Type 6 connector, ensuring compatibility and user-friendliness based on the IS17017-2-6 (IEC 62196-6) Standard recognized by the BIS. Within this range, Supernova offers a 6 kW option featuring dual 3 kW DC Fast Charging guns, while Supernova Plus provides a 12 kW charging capacity with dual 6 kW DC Fast Charging guns. Both configurations offer a rapid and efficient charging solution that complements the optional Boost charger available with the F77, making them essential components of Ultraviolette’s innovative charging network, the release highlights.
