In a thrilling showcase of skill and strategy, the Nissan Formula E Team secured its second consecutive podium finish in the 2023/24 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, with driver Oliver Rowland claiming third place in a captivating São Paulo E-Prix.

Despite a challenging qualifying session that saw Rowland and teammate Sacha Fenestraz starting from 11th and 14th on the grid respectively, both drivers exhibited exceptional race pace as they navigated through Formula E’s second outing in Brazil.

Rowland’s remarkable performance saw him steadily advance through the field, ultimately clinching fifth place before executing a daring maneuver at the final corner to snatch third position in a thrilling dash to the finish line. Meanwhile, Fenestraz showcased resilience and determination as he battled through the pack, narrowly missing out on points with an 11th place finish.

Reflecting on the race, Tommaso Volpe, managing director and team principal of the Nissan Formula E Team, praised Rowland’s calculated drive to the podium, highlighting the team’s progress and resilience. He also noted the significance of the race marking the first victory for the Nissan e-4ORCE 04 car, further solidifying Nissan’s presence in the championship.
