Nissan and Honda Explore Strategic Partnership in Vehicle Electrification and Intelligence

In a move aimed at accelerating efforts towards carbon neutrality and enhancing road safety, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. (Nissan) and Honda Motor Co., Ltd. (Honda) have announced today the signing of a memorandum of understanding. Under this agreement, the two automotive giants will embark on a feasibility study to evaluate the potential for a strategic partnership in the realms of vehicle electrification and intelligence.

Recognizing the imperative of bolstering environmental and electrification technologies, as well as advancing software development, Nissan and Honda have united in the belief that leveraging their respective strengths through collaboration holds significant promise for the future.

The scope of the feasibility study encompasses a wide array of domains, including automotive software platforms, core components pertinent to electric vehicles (EVs), and complementary products.
