In a significant stride towards promoting green mobility solutions in Nepal, BYD, the global leader in new energy vehicles, has unveiled its highly anticipated electric sedan, the BYD SEAL, in collaboration with its local authorized distributor, Cimex Inc. Pvt. Ltd. This marks the third pure electric passenger vehicle introduced by BYD in Nepal, following the successful launches of the BYD ATTO 3 and the BYD DOLPHIN.
The BYD SEAL, available in three versions – Dynamic, Premium, and Performance – and offered in four standard colors, embodies cutting-edge technology and innovation. Built on the advanced e-Platform 3.0, the sporty sedan boasts innovative features such as CTB (Cell-to-Body) technology and iTAC technology, delivering exceptional comfort, safety, and performance. Notably, the model has been awarded a prestigious five-star safety rating from both Euro NCAP and the Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP), underscoring its adherence to the highest safety standards.
BYD’s commitment to green mobility in Nepal dates back to 2018 when the BYD e6 model was incorporated into the Nepalese presidential fleet. Since then, BYD has steadily expanded its presence in the country’s passenger car market, offering new choices to local consumers. With 12 showrooms, 9 service centers, and 15 charge points already established across Nepal, BYD is poised for further expansion, in line with the government’s efforts to promote electric vehicles.
As the Nepalese government implements measures to facilitate the transition to electric transportation, including the construction of 500 additional charging stations, BYD remains dedicated to meeting the growing demand for sustainable mobility solutions. By partnering with reputable local collaborators like Cimex Inc., BYD aims to strengthen its sales and after-sales service network, providing comprehensive new energy solutions tailored to the needs of the Nepalese market.
The launch of the BYD SEAL underscores BYD’s commitment to driving the country’s progress towards green mobility and underscores its role as a leader in the global electric vehicle industry. With a focus on innovation, sustainability, and customer satisfaction, BYD is poised to shape the future of transportation in Nepal and beyond.
