VinFast, the Vietnamese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer, has taken a step forward in its Indian venture by filing a patent for the VF3 micro electric SUV.
Although filing a patent application doesn’t assure a market release, it indicates VinFast’s keenness on entering the Indian market.
The VF3, unveiled at the 2024 Consumer Electronics Show, is an ultra-compact battery-powered SUV with dimensions slightly larger than the MG Comet EV but smaller than Tata’s Tiago EV.
Despite its compact size, the VF3 boasts a tall and boxy stance, featuring a two-door layout, distinctive headlights, and 16-inch gloss black steel wheels.
While specific details about the electric powertrain are undisclosed, the VF3 is anticipated to offer a range of over 200 km on a single charge.
Available in Eco and Plus trims with a single-motor configuration, the VF3 is equipped with features like a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, automatic climate control, cruise control, and more.
