Remco Samuels Re-elected as President of ChargeUp Europe for 2024

During the General Assembly of Members on February 22, 2024, ChargeUp Europe conducted elections for its Board, with five seats up for grabs. Re-elected members include Allego, ChargePoint, EVBox & Shell Recharge, while Plugsurfing joins the Board for the first time. Remco Samuels remains President, with EVBox, while Mathieu Bonnet of Allego becomes Vice-president and Aurélie Balcon of BP Pulse assumes the role of Treasurer.

The ChargeUp Europe Board now comprises the following member companies:

  • Allego (represented by Mathieu Bonnet)
  • BP Pulse (represented by Aurélie Bacon)
  • ChargePoint (represented by André ten Bloemendal)
  • EDP (represented by Vera Pinto Pereira)
  • EVBox (represented by Remco Samuels)
  • FastNed (represented by Michiel Langezaal)
  • GreenWay (represented by Peter Badik)
  • Plugsurfing (represented by Sofia Diakhate)
  • Shell Recharge (represented by Florian Glattes)

Lucie Mattera, Secretary General at ChargeUp Europe, emphasizes the commitment of the Board to delivering a consumer-centric, open-market model for EV charging infrastructure across Europe. She highlights the organization’s growth in membership and its advocacy efforts to address existing barriers in the industry.
