(GEVPL), a subsidiary of Gensol Engineering Ltd.and a leading player in the eMobility sector, proudly announces the certification and approval of its innovative electric vehicle by the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI). This milestone signifies a significant leap forward, clearing the path for the official launch and commercialization of the electric vehicle in the Indian market.
The rigorous ARAI certification process rigorously evaluates a vehicle’s performance, safety, and compliance with regulatory standards. Gensol EV successfully met these stringent criteria through extensive vehicle testing in controlled lab environments and varied terrain conditions. This certification marks the culmination of the vehicle homologation process, demonstrating Gensol EV’s readiness to enter production and revolutionize sustainable urban mobility in India.

The new modern electric car, a key contributor to the mission of decarbonizing mobility, will be manufactured at a state-of-the-art greenfield plant in Chakan, Pune, with an annual production capacity of 30,000 cars. This compact 2-door, 2-seater electric vehicle epitomizes modernity, intelligence, space efficiency, and cutting-edge technology. It introduces several industry-first features, including a moonroof, spacious boot space, in-cabin driver assistance technology, a comprehensive technology stack, AI-driven cloud analytics, and a user experience characterized by intuitive design.
