E-Luna’s Comeback: Kinetic Green’s Electric Moped Makes A Splash In India

Kinetic Green has reintroduced the iconic E-Luna electric moped in a revamped form, unveiling it at an initial price of ₹69,990 (ex-showroom, inclusive of FAME II subsidy).

The redesigned model, entirely conceived and engineered in India, aims to enhance the affordability of electric mobility for a wider audience. The E-Luna features a dual tubular high-strength steel chassis designed to handle robust tasks and diverse terrains.

With a payload capacity of 150 kg and a convertible rear seat for load carrying, the E-Luna is positioned as a versatile personal mobility and B2B vehicle.

The electric moped is equipped with a 2.2 kW (2.9 bhp) BLDC motor, boasting a top speed of 50 kmph and a range of 110 km on a single charge.

The lithium-ion battery pack comes in multiple variants with capacities of 1.7 kWh, 2 kWh, and 3 kWh, extending the range to 150 km. The model offers fast charging and swappable battery options, catering particularly to B2B applications.

The E-Luna incorporates safety features such as an IP67-rated water and dust-proof battery, motor, and controller. It includes a digital instrument console, combi-braking, USB charging port, three riding modes, and a side-stand sensor.

Kinetic Green aims to provide affordable e-mobility in Tier II and III markets, targeting rural areas with its functional design. The company claims a running cost of 10 paise per km and a total cost of ownership under ₹2,500 per month.

Bookings are open for ₹500, with deliveries starting soon through Kinetic Green dealerships and online platforms like Amazon and Flipkart.
