Since its launch in July 2023, the Kia Seltos has been on a winning streak in the Indian market, surpassing over 100,000 bookings and setting records for the highest first-day bookings in its segment. With an average of approximately 13,500 bookings per month, the Seltos has solidified its position as a top choice among SUV enthusiasts. The starting price for the New Seltos in India is set at 10.99 Lakhs (Ex-showroom).
Having manufactured over 6 Lakhs Seltos units in India since August 2019, Kia has witnessed significant demand, with nearly 75% of the units sold in the domestic market. In 2023 alone, Kia sold a total of 1.04 Lakhs units of the Seltos, showcasing its enduring popularity.
Automatic variants have emerged as the preferred choice among new-age customers, constituting nearly 50% of the total bookings. Additionally, there is a growing interest in variants equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), with approximately 40% of buyers expressing strong interest in these features. Sunroofs continue to be a popular choice, with 80% of Seltos buyers opting for this feature. The booking ratio between petrol and diesel variants remains healthy at 58:42%, reflecting the diverse preferences of customers. Moreover, 80% of buyers have shown a preference for the top variants, highlighting the Seltos’ premium appeal.

He attributed the consistent market leadership in the mid-SUV segment to the Seltos’ popularity and customer satisfaction. Kia India is actively realigning its manufacturing processes to meet the high demand and ensure swift delivery to customers.
Launched with refreshed design elements, enhanced performance, and advanced technology, the New Seltos continues to set new benchmarks for SUVs in India. Boasting a total of 32 features, including 15 high-safety features and 17 ADAS Level 2 autonomous features, the Seltos remains an aspirational vehicle for Indian consumers.
