E-rickshaws are set to operate on designated routes following a proposal of 23 routes by the traffic department and regional transport office in Indore, Madhya Pradesh.

Officials, including water resources minister Tulsiram Silawat, MP Shankar Lalwani, mayor Pushyamitra Bhargav, MLA Madhu Verma, collector Asheesh Singh, and IMC commissioner Harshika Singh, discussed traffic congestion issues and potential solutions during a meeting at the district collector’s office.

The finalization of routes is underway, and the meeting emphasized the importance of specific routes for e-rickshaws in enhancing traffic management and convenience.

Mayor Bhargav highlighted the significance of this initiative in promoting smoother traffic flow and directed the extension of the route to Nipania. The allocation of routes is seen as a crucial step towards improving overall traffic management in the city.
