In a groundbreaking collaboration, Nuvve Holding Corp. (Nasdaq: NVVE), a global leader in vehicle-to-grid (V2G) technology, has joined forces with e-Formula, a prominent Taiwanese energy solutions provider, to embark on Taiwan’s inaugural V2G hub project. The project, spearheaded by e-Formula, will encompass 95 electric vehicles (EVs) and aims to revolutionize Taiwan’s electric vehicle infrastructure.

As the technical project manager and service provider, Nuvve plans to finalize contract negotiations by March, envisioning the deployment of a range of charging stations from 11kW to 150kW. The collaboration involves a partnership with Taipower, where Nuvve will provide electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE), and e-Formula will contribute stationary storage, resulting in compensation for grid services.

Gregory Poilasne, CEO of Nuvve, expressed “This project is not just a milestone for Nuvve and e-Formula but a leap forward for Taiwan’s EV infrastructure. Our GIVe™ platform stands at the heart of this endeavor, showcasing the immense potential of V2G technology in revolutionizing energy management and EV integration. We are eager to work together in support of the important efforts already underway in Taiwan to combat air pollution.”

“This project marks our second V2G Hub win since the beginning of 2024, a testament to our strong forward momentum and our role as a partner of choice,” Poilasne added. “We look forward to collaborating with e-Formula on this effort and to the many future V2G projects we see on the horizon as we continue to win.”

Nuvve’s acclaimed GIVe™ platform will manage V2G and V1G chargers, Solar PV Systems, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), facilitating dynamic power management between EV batteries and the grid. e-Formula brings its wealth of experience from high-profile renewable energy projects, reinforcing the potential of the V2G hub project.

Taiwan Power Company (TPC) has allocated land in Hsinchu for a smart parking structure featuring 325 parking spaces, equipped with a mix of V2G and V1G charging stations. This initiative aligns with Taiwan’s commitment to sustainable energy and smart infrastructure development.

Anticipated benefits of the V2G Hub project include EV charging facilities for the Hsinchu metro area, advanced infrastructure for EV certification by Taipower, real-time market data generation, green energy utilization from solar and battery storage, involvement of RACEV with Nuvve’s V2G solution for electric buses, and an intuitive mobile app for EV owners.
