Ola introduced its e-bike taxi service in Delhi and Hyderabad with plans to expand and increase e-bike deployment in Bengaluru after a successful pilot program.
The company aims to deploy 10,000 e-vehicles in Delhi and Hyderabad over the next two months, establishing the largest E2W fleet in India.
Offering affordable pricing, with rates as low as INR 25 for 5 km, INR 50 for 10 km, and INR 75 for 15 km, Ola’s e-bike taxi service is positioned as a cost-effective, sustainable, and convenient commuting solution.
Hemant Bakshi, CEO of Ola Mobility, emphasized the role of electrification in providing affordable mobility and outlined plans for nationwide expansion, targeting a larger market for e-bike taxis in India.
Ola’s focus on innovation and accessibility aims to create multi-work opportunities for gig economy workers on the platform and contribute to the future of commerce. The company previously launched the e-bike taxi service in Bengaluru in September 2023, achieving significant market expansion and over 1.75 million rides to date.
