Alongside the pricing announcement, the prestigious British marque disclosed the battery specifications and official range of its premier all-electric vehicle, with bookings opening on the same day.

The RV400 BRZ incorporates regenerative braking and can be charged from 0-100% in around 4.5 hours. Tata Motors Electric Vehicle Production Plans For Sanand Plant Unveiled: Nexon EV Kickstarts In April

Tata Motors is set to initiate the production of electric vehicles at the Sanand plant, acquired from Ford India last January, starting from April this year, according to a senior company official. Shailesh Chandra, MD of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles, mentioned that the production would kick off with the Nexon EV. The facility, acquired for Rs 725.7 crore, has an initial capacity of 3 lakh units annually, with the potential for expansion to 4.2 lakh units. Chandra also revealed plans to manufacture upcoming models at the same facility, including the introduction of Curvv EV in the second or third quarter of the current calendar year. The Harrier EV and the internal combustion engine (ICE) version of Curvv are anticipated to follow by the end of the year.

Classic Legends, the company responsible for designing, manufacturing, and selling iconic motorcycle brands such as Jawa, Yezdi, and BSA, is actively working on electric bikes and plans to introduce them to the Indian market once the charging infrastructure is adequately developed, according to CEO Ashish Singh Joshi. While the current charging infrastructure can support entry-level electric scooters or motorcycles with a range of 50-100 km, it is not yet equipped for high-performance and intercity bikes, Joshi mentioned. “We explored electric options from the beginning and initiated the development of our electric product. We have received a grant from the British government for our tech center in Coventry to work on electric products under the BSA brand. Our electric program is in progress there,” explained Joshi in a statement to PTI.
